I had some webbing laying around and a 3D printer. So of course I went looking for a spool to print.

I found a climbing webbing spool made by DtEW that I liked but wanted some changes, so one thing led to another and I started from scratch in OpenSCAD. Partly to make a spool, but mostly to better learn the software. Also enjoyed designing the annular snap fit pieces and considering the print orientation to allow for more flexible objects. OpenSCAD variables and code set up so that the customizer (on Thingiverse or in OpenSCAD) could be used by people to make custom objects without touching the code.
